Job Description

The creation / shading of CG or photo-real characters, props and environments.

Needs to do:

The position of Lookdev / Shading TD requires someone with good knowledge of Pixar's RenderMan, V-Ray or Mental Ray for Maya, with several years of experience in a similar role. Successful applicants will have a thorough knowledge of shading, look-dev and lighting. You will interact daily with the Texturing & Lighting Team and your show's CG Supervisor.


Needs to know:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Lookdev / Lighting role
  • Thorough knowledge of Pixar's RenderMan and RSL, V-Ray or Mental Ray for Maya
  • Experience with HDRI, Global Illumination, BRDFs and point-based workflows
  • Cgfx and glsl experience is a plus
  • Ability to create practical, optimized, art-directable solutions
  • Familiarity with pipeline issues, look-dev and lighting
  • Knowledge of Mel or Python will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in a VFX environment will be a plus
  • Experience of real-world lighting and photography will be a plus
