Seth Rogan's controversial action-comedy The Interview stars James Franco as Dave Skylark, a popular celebrity tabloid TV show host, and Rogan as his producer Aaron Rappaport.
When Dave and Aaron discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong Un.
Prime Focus World provided 101 VFX shots for the movie, which was co-produced and co-directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogan of Point Grey Pictures for distribution by Columbia Pictures.
Much of Prime Focus World’s work on the movie involved set extensions and matte paintings to make the locations for this Vancouver-shot film look as though they were filmed in North Korea.
