Due to our continued success we are now looking to expand our talented and dedicated Systems support team in London.
If you are passionate about technology, have at least 5 Years + industry experience in a similar role and would like to be part of an organisation that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries within film visual effects then we would like here from you.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain the day-to-day technology function of the facilities networks, servers, workstations and software.
• Provide application support for the all software currently in use.
• Evaluate and test new versions of software/hardware products.
• Write scripts and tools for the management of the system.
• Maintain the facilities data back-up and recovery system.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation to support the technical Infrastructure.
Required Skills:
Excellent knowledge and experience of managing, configuring and maintaining the following:
• UNIX/Linux, Windows and Mac OSX
• Large scale networks, protocols and services (NIS, NFS, CIFS LDAP, AD, DNS, DHCP, WAN, TCP/IP, SMB,FTP)
• Network Switches
• NAS/SAN Storage solutions
• Licence Server administration
• Firewalls, proxies
• Network Security
• scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, C)
• Web servers ( apache)
• Database administration
• Tape libraries and backup/archiving systems
• Render farms and associated software
• Application support
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge and experience of any of the following would be an advantage:
• VMware or other virtualization technologies
• File transfer systems and protocols ( Aspera, Signiant, FTP)
• Shotgun, File Maker Pro or similar
• Enterprise Email Systems
• Wireless networking
• Video systems and technologies
• Redhat/Fedora
• Apache, nginx or tornado
• Postgres and Couchdb
• Grid Engine
• Extreme Networks switches
Personal Skills:
• Fluency in English
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Enthusiastic problem solver
• Ability to work unsupervised and recommend technical solutions
• Ability to learn new technologies as required
• Ability to be follow instruction when necessary
