Prime Focus are currently seeking a Senior Look Dev Artist to take responsibility for the aesthetic development of all CG elements of current and forthcoming feature film projects.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of Look Dev/Shader pipeline, in collaboration with other key personnel
- Managing and creatively and technically guiding a team of Look Dev / shader artists
- Taking and communicating direction to the team
Essential skills / Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience in Look Dev / Shader writing for assets / environments for feature film projects
- Proficient with renderman shader writing
- Excellent working knowledge of Maya and Linux
- Some texturing / lighting experience
- Experience with all aspects of a VFX rendering pipeline
- Experience with rendering large datasets
- Ability to come up with creative and efficient rendering solutions
- Scripting experience in MEL / Python / C++
