'Captain America: Civil War' opens with $181.8m; Global total climbs over $675m

According to Box Office Mojo, 'Civil War' opened this weekend in the U.S. with an estimated $181.8m take - the fifth largest opening weekend of all time. This huge opening contributed to Disney becoming the fastest studio to pass the $1 billion mark in domestic earnings, reaching that total in just 128 days and decimating the 165 day record set by Universal last year.

In addition to the above achievements, the opening weekend saw 'Civil War' become the third largest opener in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and retain a 91% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, an 'A' CinemaScore and great reviews from the critics.

If you haven't seen it yet, don't miss this one while it is in theaters - in 3D of course!
