'X-Men: Apocalypse' and 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' both hit U.S. theaters this weekend

It's Memorial Day weekend in the U.S. this week, and it's a big weekend for PFW as two of our recent stereo conversion projects hit U.S. theaters.

Twentieth Century Fox is releasing 'X-Men: Apocalypse', the latest in the franchise from returning director Bryan Singer, who has directed three previous X-Men movies. 'Apocalypse' has been doing great business internationally and has already grossed over $115m overseas going into the weekend. Analysts are predicting a domestic opening of $80-$100m for the superhero adventure, which stars series regulars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy and newcomers such as Oscar Isaac and “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner.

'Alice Through The Looking Glass' is also being predicted to hit big this weekend, with an expected $60m+ take through the holiday weekend. 'Alice' sees Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska return in the lead roles, supported by Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen and a host of famous voice talent.

Prime Focus World delivered stereo conversion services for both films, which experts are anticipating could drive one of the biggest Memorial Day weekends ever and supercharge the summer box office in the U.S.
