'The Martian' picks up two 3D honors at the Creative Arts Awards 2016

The Advanced Imaging Society bestowed 20 honors for 'distinguished achievement' at the Creative Arts Awards on Wednesday 26 Jan at Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood, and 'The Martian' picked up two of them.

Receiving the awards for 'Best Live Action Stereography' and 'Best Use of Native 3D', 'The Martian' joined 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', 'The Walk' and 'Inside Out' in receiving the top 3D honors on the evening. Stereo supervisor Gareth Daley was on hand to accept the awards for 'The Martian'.

Marvel's Victoria Alonso, who heads the Studio’s Physical Production Unit and serves as Executive Producer on many of the Studios blockbuster hits, was also honored at the event - with the Harold Lloyd Award for filmmaking.
