UK Film Admissions up 10% at Mid-Year Mark

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that in the first six months of 2015, cinemas across the U.K. recorded 83 million admissions, a 10 percent increase over the figures from the same period last year, according to new statistics published by the British Film Institute.

And 'Jurassic World' and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' are credited as contributing to the increase. 

The number of films released jumped, too, hitting 358 titles through July 12, compared to last year’s 342, and seeing total box office revenue reach $917 million, up from 2014’s $760 million. That marked a 20.7 percent increase.
