'Avengers: Age of Ultron' hits $1bn following superpowered $156.3m China debut

Just as predicted 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' surpassed the magic $1bn mark this weekend, catapulting it into the superleague of high-grossing films and cementing its place as the eight highest-grossing film of all time (just behind Iron Man 3).

In total, 'Ultron' has grossed $1.142bn worldwide. The question now - will it continue earning enough to surpass Iron Man 3 ($1.215bn) and Frozen ($1.274bn)?
