Russo Brothers confirmed to direct 'Avengers: Infinity War'

Entertainment Weekly has published a very interesting article about Marvel's announcement of the Russo Brothers as directors of Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, and the company's 'pivoting director strategy'.

Comparing Marvel to 'an Old Hollywood studio, complete with actors on contract and in-house craftsmen', the article argues that it has 'pivoted' in the last year - from the first wave of SuperHero movies for which it hired feature directors like Kenneth Branagh (Thor) and Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger) to the up-and-coming directors of Phase 2, including James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and the Russo Brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier). As the article says, 'Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy were a one-two punch of critical and commercial acclaim; now Marvel has locked in all of the filmmakers behind that big 2014, with James Gunn working on Guardians 2 and developing ideas for Guardians 3.'
