PFW nominated for International 3D Society Lumiere Award

We are delighted to have been nominated by the International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society for a prestigious Lumiere Award at its 5th annual Technology and New Product Awards, which will take place on September 24 2014 at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood.

Prime Focus World's 'Hybrid Stereo Pipeline', which has been singled out for nomination at the awards, is the technology underpinning PFW's stereo conversion work on recent projects such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Edge of Tomorrow, Maleficent and Gravity.

The Lumiere Award, which has been awarded to such luminaries as Ang Lee, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and others, is the highest honor bestowed by the membership of the International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society. Winners will be chosen by a blue ribbon panel of technology and advanced imaging experts.

"These awards will record for history the technologies, organizations and individuals responsible for the extraordinary journey of the advanced imaging industry, which includes stereoscopic 3D, 4K, UHD, High Dynamic Range, Enhanced Dynamic Range and more," added Jim Chabin, President of the Society.
