The little indie pic that Disney didn't want will soon go up against "Transformers", writes The Hollywood Reporter.
Despite producing 'Earth to Echo', Disney made the unusual move not to release it after switching strategies and opting to avoid the ultra-low-budget movie game. This could be Relativity Media's gain if the film is to do well at the box office July 2.
Prime Focus World provided VFX on the movie including Echo breaking apart a truck as it hurtles toward the kids. "[This] was one of the highest-testing scenes in the final product," says Relativity president Tucker Tooley.
