Prime Focus World has recruited two talented and experienced Visual Effects Supervisors to help drive the creativity of its growing Vancouver facility.
Nigel Denton-Howes is an experienced CG Supervisor, who brings his considerable creativity and expertise to the Prime Focus World Vancouver team. Nigel began his career as a modeler and texture & lighting artist, working on such films as The Wild (2006), Fly Me to the Moon (2008), and Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) before becoming an Asset Lead for and Computer Graphic Supervisor at Image Engine Design. Most recently, Nigel was responsible for supervising Maleficent (2014) for Digital Domain across multiple facilities, and the supervision of sequence production on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) for Sony Pictures Imageworks. Nigel is currently supervising two of the summer's most highly-anticipated action films for Prime Focus World. Neil Eskuri is the latest VFX Supervisor to join Prime Focus World in Vancouver, bringing more than 30 years of experience creating visual effects and computer animation content for film, television, and video games. Neil began his career as an animator and modeler, working on multiple Clio award-winning advertisements before moving into film. Neil then brought his creativity to legendary visual effects and animation companies Rhythm & Hues, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Walt Disney Feature Animation working on high-profile projects such as The Last Action Hero (1993) and Fantasia/2000. From 2004 to 2009, Neal was the Senior Art Director for the video games publishing giant Electronic Arts. Most recently Neil worked on the massive blockbuster The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011), and Neill Blomkamp’s visually stunning sci-fi action thriller Elysium (2013) for Image Engine.
