'Earth to Echo' contest aims to have kids get with the program

To promote the upcoming Earth to Echo, the studio behind the film, Relativity, is teaming up with the non-profit organization Code.org to launch a challenge to get students around the country to program their own game inspired by the sci-fi flick.

There are three categories - best story tie in, best puzzle game and best action game - all meant to be pegged to the July 2 release of the film about three teens who find their phones corrupted by a signal from a mysterious being that's been stranded on Earth.
