The first reviews are in for Hossein Amini's lavish period piece The Two Faces of January, which received its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival last night. Prime Focus World was the exclusive VFX partner on the movie, which was produced by Working Title for distribution by StudioCanal.
The Two Faces of January opens in the UK on 16 May 2014. Follow the links below for the full reviews:
The Telegraph called The Two Faces of January 'an elegantly pleasurable experience', commenting "Though it’s premiering out of competition at the Berlin Film Festival, it’s preferable to most of the other films that are up for awards, not least in the acting department: festivals can go years without finding a trio of lead roles this well-cast and dynamically played."
The Hollywood Reporter concluded that "the production, shot in Greece and Turkey, is truly lush and the actors –Viggo Mortensen, Oscar Isaac and Kirsten Dunst – almost too subtle and nuanced for the roles they play".
