First posters released for Adam Sandler's 'Pixels'

With the first trailer due imminently, Columbia Pictures has teased Adam Sandler's forthcoming video game adventure comedy Pixels with a set of colourful posters showing familiar video game icons attacking iconic cities around the world. Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Centipede and Donkey Kong can be seen attacking San Francisco, Paris, London and Tokyo respectively.

Pixels is directed by Christopher Columbus based on the short film by Patrick Jean, which you can watch below. When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Columbia Pictures releases the film in the middle of summer 2015.
