BBC's 'Enchanted Kingdom' wins 3D Award at Wildscreen Documentary Film Festival

Prime Focus World was delighted to learn that the BBC's 3D theatrical film Enchanted Kingdom was awarded 'Best 3D Documentary' at the Wildscreen Documentary Film Festival last night. The Wildscreen Panda Awards, the Oscars of the natural history and wildlife film industry, were announced at a glittering ceremony that formed the centrepiece of the Wildscreen Festival.

Designed as an immersive 3D experience from the beginning, Enchanted Kingdom takes audiences on an exhilarating journey through the nature and wildlife of Africa, using the 3D format to enhance the experience at every turn. Mostly shot with stereo cameras, Prime Focus World was called in to assist the production with some tricky long-lens shots that had been captured in 2D and required careful conversion to sit alongside the native footage.

We'd like to extend our congratulations to co-directors Neil Nightingale and Patrick Morris, and to producer Myles Connolly, for their fantastic achievement and deserved recognition.
