Los Angeles, December 2011 - Immortals stereographer David Stump and Prime Focus Chief Creative Director Merzin Tavaria discuss the 3D creation process used in Tarsem Singh's Immortals in a feature on the Computer Graphics World website. Prime Focus' proprietary 2D-3D conversion process brought a groundbreaking look to the film which, according to the article, "allowed Singh the flexibility to create visuals unlike any that have been seen before."

"Creating stereoscopic 3D content in postproduction gave us more control" said Stump. "We could place anything anywhere we wanted. In fact, we not only could, we had to, because nothing lands in the right place accidentally." Ken Halsband, executive in charge of production for Relativity Media, added that they had "succeeded in creating an artistic looking 3D movie. Everything from sets to costumes was designed for the ultimate 3D experience. We used the technology better this time, more painstakingly and artistically than it has been used before."

The View-D™ conversion of the film has been praised in various publications including Variety and American Cinematographer.
