Rory Lubold.

Based in Hollywood, Rory Lubold is Director of Technical Operations for North America. He manages technical teams in each North American facility and oversees the daily technical operations in the Hollywood studio. Rory is deeply involved with planning, sourcing and purchasing, installation, integration and repair of all technical equipment that our Post, VFX and ViewD™ teams use. Additionally, he works closely with the Technology leads for the other continents in planning and implementing the global technical strategy for the company.

Prior to his tenure at Prime Focus, Rory owned and was the principle engineer for a systems engineering consulting company that specialized in high speed networking, storage and technology solutions for entertainment companies, storage solution providers and Internet Service Providers. Before that he was the Vice President of Engineering at the Post Group (currently IO Film) for 4 years where he actively managed Production, Post Production and technical development for the multi-faceted entertainment facility. He also served as the Chief Technical Officer at Pacific Title and Art Studio, actively managing all technical aspects of this 75 year old company. Additionally, he was the System Engineering Manager for 4MC/Ascent Media's Digital Magic and POP facilities in Santa Monica, managing visual effects, compositing, dailies and software development for film and television.

Rory's previous experience includes over 15 years as an Officer with the United States military where he worked as a Flight Test Engineer, Software Engineer and Program Manager developing, implementing and testing new and emerging technologies.

He received his undergraduate Engineering degree at the University of Texas.
